One in Four Chronic Health is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization registered as a charity in Oregon.
One in Four was created by patients, for patients.
We understand the issues patients face trying to manage their health and their daily lives.
Sometimes it can feel overwhelming having to juggle doctors, health insurance and medication plus trying to eat well and get in some exercise. Oh and don't forget that stress only makes us feel worse!
We're here to help. Working with our community partners, we can help advocate on your behalf, so you get the treatment you need.
We work in partnership with diverse stakeholders including; community based organizations, the Oregon Health Authority and Federal agencies to identify and improve pathways to prevention and treatment for all Oregonians.
One in four Americans are living with a chronic disease or health conditions.
In Oregon, there are 2.5 million people with at least 1 chronic health condition, and 1 million people with 2 or more chronic health conditions. Some chronic health conditions are genetic, (inherited from our parents) they include; Hemophilia, Cystic Fibrosis, Tay-Sachs Disease and Sickle Cell Disease.
Most chronic health conditions are linked to behaviors including diet, exercise and environmental exposure.
This means that they are preventable, and together we can save more than money, we can save lives.
We fight for patients.
To be a voice for people living with chronic health conditions and ensure access to affordable treatment.
